The Public Works Department is responsible for a wide range of activities that improve public health, safety, and quality of life for our citizens. These include, but not limited to street and sidewalk construction and repair, installation and maintenance of traffic signals, street signs, and other traffic control devices, maintaining drainage ditches, garbage pickup, leaf and branch collection.
Garbage pick up is on Tuesday and Wednesday. Refer to the Garbage Pickup Schedule to see when services are provided for you. Garbage containers can be no larger than 32 gallons and must have lids.
Junk collection is available the 2nd Friday of each month. Only items no larger than an upholstered chair will be accepted. Building materials, carpet, paint, cabinetry, lumber, decking fencing, refrigerators, tvs, chemicals, toilets, etc. will not be picked up. If unsure your item will be accepted, call the Street Department at the contact number listed on the left. Unaccepted items are your responsibility and must be disposed of elsewhere.
